Here is a collection of feature films I have mixed. Some documentary, some fictional/narrative.
Deep Astronomy and the Romantic Sciences (2022)

Director Cory McAbee was actually one of my first filmmaker heroes. I saw his American Astronaut (2001) in the theater, a month or so after 9/11, and found it deeply weird and deeply inspiring. It was a creative North Star for me—at the time a young film student—in an otherwise confusing time.
Jump ahead ahead nearly 20 years: a mutual contact introduces me to Cory and his very ambitious Deep Astronomy. I’m instantly smitten. And once again in the midst of a very confusing time: mixing the film was the creative focus I needed during the early Pandemic. And working with Cory was such a joy.
The film is multi-format, and part musical tour-documentary, part sci-fi narrative. Wild!
Paradise without people (2019)
FEATURE/DOCUMENTARY, 5.1. AUDIO POST & MIX.
The first feature documentary from TIME STUDIOS. Directed by Francesca Trianni.
An ambitious, beautiful, and important film that follows two Syrian refugee families through the first two years of their young childrens’ lives as the families seek asylum throughout Europe.
The surround mix was built at my studio in Brooklyn and finished on a dub stage at Final Frame.

SYL JOHNSON: ANY WAY THE WIND BLOWS (2015)
FEATURE/DOCUMENTARY, STEREO. AUDIO POST & MIX.
I mixed this feature length documentary about Syl Johnson, the iconic soul singer and 'overlooked legend'. The film was produced by my friends at Production Company Productions and premiered recently at the 2015 Chicago International Film Fest.

CAREFUL NOT TO CRY (2017)

This is Erik Sutch's debut feature film, in which an abortion doctor navigates life as a taxi driver in a post-industrial America.
HOW TO FOLLOW STRANGERS (2013)
FEATURE/COMEDY, STEREO. AUDIO POST, SOUND DESIGN & MIX.
I mixed this feature film from director Chioke Nassor, starring Broad City's Ilana Glazer. This is the first feature I mixed; it was great to work with my pal Chioke, and a fun project altogether.

WE DON't WANNA MAKE YOU DANCE (2014)
FEATURE/DOCUMENTARY, STEREO. AUDIO POST & MIX. I mixed this feature-length documentary about a starry-eyed band of brothers from 1980s NYC. The film was over 35 years in the making, and delves deep into creative aspiration and the challenges (and disappointments) that stand in one's way in the pursuit of "success".
